Fold only
Full-Body Origami Rabbit — No-Cut Version
Fold a complete rabbit with a broad body, little pleated tail and an upright head-and-ear section. This is the source’s simple no-cut version: the ears remain together rather than being slit and separated.

Blue and gold track the original sheet halves, not literal fur colors. Darker shades show the reverse. Orange marks ordinary moving folds and their hinges. The head reverse carries both connected walls together.

PREPARATION · Origami Guide simple bunny: complete no-cut variant
Prepare the diamond
Set one point at the top with the intended rabbit color down.
Layers: One uncut square.
Check: This version keeps the ears together; no scissors are needed.

Crease the center
Bring the left point across to the right point.
Layers: Move the complete left half.
Check: The top and bottom points stay on the crease.

Open the diamond
Unfold completely.
Layers: Return the same half.
Check: A vertical center guide remains.

Fold the lower right edge inward
Bring the lower-right sloping edge onto the center crease.
Layers: Move the complete right corner flap.
Check: Its old lower edge lies on the center.

Fold the lower left edge inward
Match the lower-left sloping edge to the center crease.
Layers: Move the complete left corner flap.
Check: A narrow kite points downward.

Fold down the upper triangle
Fold the top point down along the horizontal line joining the two widest corners of the kite.
Layers: Move the upper triangle; the long lower kite remains still.
Check: A triangular flap lies over the body.

Return a small tail
On the lowered triangle, make a horizontal crease 0.83 inches below its upper folded edge. Fold the point back upward on this line.
Layers: Move only the lowered triangle, leaving the body underneath still.
Check: A small tail projects above the horizontal body edge.

Close the body lengthwise
Bring the left half over to the right along the original center crease.
Layers: Carry every layer on the left, including its half of the tail.
Check: The body is a long layered triangle with a small tail at the wide end.

Mark the head angle
Measure 2.76 inches from the long lower point along the closed spine. On the long sloping outer edge measure 4.13 inches from the same point. Fold the long tip up along the line joining these marks.
Layers: Move the complete head packet, including the folded-in kite material.
Check: The tip rises while the tail and rear body stay still.

Unfold the head guide
Return the long tip to its previous position.
Layers: Open all layers of the same head packet.
Check: Matching head creases remain on both body walls.

Open the body for the reverse
Open the lengthwise body fold completely while leaving the kite and tail folds in place.
Layers: Separate the two connected walls, without opening the earlier flaps.
Check: Both head guide creases are visible.

Raise the head with an outside reverse
Lift the long lower tip toward the outside as you close the body walls together again. Reverse both prepared head creases and flatten the connected head packet around the outside.
Layers: Carry both head walls and all folded kite layers together. Do not cut or pull them apart.
Check: A broad body, small tail and long upright head/ear section are connected.

Orient the complete rabbit
Rotate the whole rabbit clockwise in the plane until its long lower body edge is level. The upright head is on the left and the small tail is on the right.
Layers: Move the whole model; this is handling, not another crease.
Check: The body has a level base below the separate head and tail.

Finish the no-cut rabbit
Smooth the folds and draw an optional eye near the lower part of the upright head. Keep this version flat for display.
Layers: No new fold or cut. The ears remain together in the long head packet.
Check: The complete rabbit has a torso and pleated tail, not just a face.

Origami Guide labels the model Traditional. That attribution is separate from rights in its photographs and text. No source photographs, prose or code are reproduced. These English instructions, geometry and diagrams are independently authored; no project-wide reuse license is implied.
Adaptation: Uses the complete simple rabbit at source step 12. The optional head slit and separate-ear shaping in steps 13–19 are not performed or simulated. The two kite folds are separate. We mirror the closing direction, reopen the body fully for the paired outside reverse, and move the in-plane display rotation to the end. The one-third tail return is fixed by an explicit crease; measured head landmarks replace the source’s free head angle. The final level-base profile is for flat display; no standing stability or physical folding claim.

Accuracy notes
Real-paper follow-along and paper weight have not been tested. Diagrams illustrate the sequence, not paper thickness, contact, collisions or exact layer visibility. One connected square retains its original material through kite folds, a separate tail pleat, full body closure and coupled outside-reverse head walls. The long head/ear section remains uncut. Bounded zero-thickness geometry checks do not certify finite thickness or general contact. Real-paper folding has not been tested.
