Prepare the diamond
Place a 6-inch square with a point at the top and the intended face color down. Blue and gold in the diagrams track material, not your paper colors.
Layers: One uncut square.
Check: Top and bottom points line up.

Crease the vertical center
Bring the right point to the left point.
Layers: Move the complete half sheet.
Check: Opposite points coincide.

Open the vertical crease
Unfold completely and smooth the square.
Layers: Return the same half to the table.
Check: The center crease remains.

Fold the top down
Bring the top point to the bottom point.
Layers: Fold the entire upper half.
Check: The closed edge runs across the top.
Explore this step ↑STEP 4 · Origami Club diagram; measured shaping adaptation
Lower the right corner
Bring the right corner down to the bottom point.
Layers: Carry both layers of the right corner.
Check: The old top edge meets the center crease.

Lower the left corner
Bring the left corner to the same bottom point.
Layers: Carry both layers of the left corner.
Check: A small diamond has two loose tips at the bottom.

Shorten the forehead
Fold the top point down on a horizontal line 0.34 inches below it.
Layers: Carry the small top packet.
Check: The forehead has a short flat top.

Raise the right ear
Mark the center crease 1.06 inches below the original top point. Fold the loose right flap outward and upward on the line from this mark to the right corner of the small diamond.
Layers: Move only the complete right corner packet.
Check: A tall point rises on the right.
Explore this step ↑STEP 8 · Origami Club diagram; measured shaping adaptation
Raise the left ear
Use the same center mark and the left corner as the hinge endpoints.
Layers: Move only the complete left corner packet.
Check: Two broad pointed ears stand apart.

Round the right ear
On the right ear, fold the top point down along a 45-degree line through a mark 1.91 inches right of the original center, at its original top level.
Layers: Move only the raised right ear tip.
Check: The ear has a short sloping top.
Explore this step ↑STEP 10 · Origami Club diagram; measured shaping adaptation
Round the left ear
Mirror the same sloping fold on the left ear.
Layers: Move only the raised left ear tip.
Check: The broad ears match.
Explore this step ↑STEP 11 · Origami Club diagram; measured shaping adaptation
Turn to the face
Turn the entire model over from side to side.
Layers: Carry all layers together.
Check: The ear return folds are behind.
Explore this step ↑STEP 12 · Origami Club diagram; measured shaping adaptation
Lift the front muzzle
Fold the front bottom point up on a line 3.18 inches below the original top point.
Layers: Move the original bottom layer only; leave the rear lower point down.
Check: The muzzle tip reaches halfway down the face.
Explore this step ↑STEP 13 · Origami Club diagram; measured shaping adaptation
Hide the rear point
Fold the remaining rear bottom point behind along the same line. Add two eyes and a tall oval nose on the muzzle.
Layers: Move the rear triangle only, away from you.
Check: A flat chin sits below the broad ears and pointed muzzle.

Adaptation: Follows reference panels 1–10. The small forehead fold is made before raising the ears, so it cannot accidentally carry the ear tips. Ear return hinges run from each side of the small diamond to a point 1.06 inches below the original top midpoint. Exact ear clipping and muzzle marks are authored.

Accuracy notes
Real-paper follow-along and paper weight have not been tested. Diagrams illustrate the sequence, not paper thickness, contact, collisions or exact layer visibility. Rigid hinges retain the original material coordinates of one uncut square. Paired folds are separated and free shaping positions are specified with ruler landmarks. Zero-thickness teaching diagrams do not simulate thickness or certify physical foldability. Real-paper follow-along has not been tested.
