PREPARATION · Origami Club construction; measured adaptation
Prepare the diamond
Place the square with one point at the top and the intended fruit color facing down.
Layers: One flat square.
Check: Top and bottom points line up.

Crease the center
Bring the right corner to the left corner. Press the vertical diagonal.
Layers: Move the whole right half.
Check: The two side corners coincide.

Open the square
Return the right half completely to the table.
Layers: Open the same half.
Check: A straight center crease remains.

Fold the lower right edge inward
Bring the lower right sloping edge onto the vertical center crease.
Layers: Move the right corner flap.
Check: The lower edge rests on the center line.

Fold the lower left edge inward
Match the lower left edge to the same center line.
Layers: Move the left corner flap.
Check: A long kite points downward.

Lower the top point
Mark a horizontal crease 1.24 inches below the top point. Fold the top down.
Layers: Move every layer above the line.
Check: The top point reaches the upper edge of the kite flaps.

Raise the long bottom point
Mark a horizontal line 3.94 inches above the bottom point. Bring the long point up across it.
Layers: Carry every layer below the mark.
Check: The raised point projects 0.64 inches above the flat top.

Round the right side
Fold the outer right corner inward on a vertical line 2.05 inches from the center.
Layers: Move the entire corner packet.
Check: A short straight right side appears.
Explore this step ↑STEP 8 · Origami Club construction; measured adaptation
Round the left side
Repeat 2.05 inches left of center.
Layers: Carry all layers at the outer corner.
Check: The two sides match.

Bevel the lower right
On the flat bottom, mark a point 1.25 inches right of center. Fold the corner inward on a 45-degree line rising to the right from this mark.
Layers: Move all layers of the small bottom corner.
Check: The lower right corner is shortened.
Explore this step ↑STEP 10 · Origami Club construction; measured adaptation
Bevel the lower left
Mirror the small bottom corner fold on the left.
Layers: Move the full matching packet.
Check: The base has two matching bevels.
Explore this step ↑STEP 11 · Origami Club construction; measured adaptation
Bend the stalk tip
Fold the projecting tip away from you on a diagonal line through the center 3.35 inches above the original square center. The line rises to the right at 45 degrees.
Layers: Only the small exposed stalk tip moves; leave the body underneath still.
Check: The tip points sideways above the body.

Show the apple
Turn the whole packet over. Smooth it for a flat display.
Layers: All shaping flaps go behind the front.
Check: A broad apple with a folded stalk is complete.

Accuracy notes
Real-paper follow-along and paper weight have not been tested. Diagrams illustrate the sequence, not paper thickness, contact, collisions or exact layer visibility. One uncut square with original material coordinates and rigid hinge motions. Shaping distances are authored teaching landmarks, not measurements supplied by the reference. Zero-thickness teaching diagrams do not certify thickness, contact or physical foldability. Real-paper folding has not been tested.
